Contemplo ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information in connection with contemplo.shop, and is written with the Australian Privacy Principles in mind.
What we collect
- Orders: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address, and order details. Card payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal or Shop Pay); we do not see or store your full card details.
- Enquiries: information you send through our contact, free mock-up or trade forms, including any photos of your space you email to us.
- Newsletter: your email address if you subscribe.
- Browsing: device and usage information (such as IP address, browser, pages viewed) collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- to process, make, deliver and support your order;
- to respond to enquiries and prepare mock-ups and trade quotes;
- to send newsletters and release updates where you have asked to receive them;
- to run, secure and improve our website, and to detect fraud;
- to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed with service providers who help us run the business, including Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, couriers and delivery partners, our printing and framing partners, email and marketing tools, and analytics providers. Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in Canada, the United States and other countries. We do not sell your personal information.
Marketing
We only send marketing emails if you have subscribed or otherwise consented. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at any time to opt out.

Our site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal requirements.

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing info@contemplo.shop. We will respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days).
